The eight of August, two thousand and nine. One of the warmest, sunniest and best days of the year. I had a blast on Mikaela and Lauri’s big day, and I think every single wedding guest would agree with me (some even had so much fun they stayed to early morning…myself included).
I met up with the bridal couple before the wedding ceremony to take pictures at the places we chose a while back. We had a great time in the heat (even though we sweated like pigs. At least I did.) and the gorgeous bride and handsome groom were excellent models. After witnessing their beautiful chruch ceremony we went for one more shoot before heading to the wedding party. Mikaela had another favourite location in mind, so we decided to let the guests wait for us a few more minutes. And it was worth the wait – we got some of the best pictures at that lovely place by the water.
The rest of the day was just as great. It was a never-ending show of laughter and happy faces. Thanks a million Mikaela and Lauri for letting me be a part of this great day of yours. See you soon!

Another favourite of mine. And I think it symbolizes the whole day. Love and laughter.

We took a limo from the church to the reception. Nice ride.

Dad gives his daughter some final advice:
