Game Seven

Efter typ 1000 matcher är det nu dags för sista kampen på onsdag (natten till torsdag för de flesta av er). Game 7, bucklan ska antingen stanna i Vancouver eller åka över kontinenten till Boston. Canucks har aldrig vunnit, så fansen (dvs. hela Vancouvers befolkning) är på helspänn. Blir det vinst kommer det att vara ett sjuhelvetes party i stan. Vi pratar OS-party. I kvadrat. Downtown kommer att vara totalt kaos.

Blir det förlust lär det var riots och en miljon extremt besvikna hockeytokar.

Med perfekt tajming åker vi så på onsdag morgon, typ 10 timmar innan matchen alla har väntat på i 40 år, iväg från stan. Till Island.

Hamnar väl i kategorin FMAL (F*ck My Awesome Life).

Nåja, på onsdan hinner vi inte längre än till Seattle så vi lär väl nästan höra downtown Vancouver därifrån.

Kan väl hur som helst konstatera att jag hade hyfsad tajming med min Vancouverflytt. OS-party med hockeyguldfesten som den ultimata avslutningen ifjol. Och Stanley Cup-final (med lyckligt slut, förhoppningsvis) i år. Bättre folkfester får man leta efter.

So, we have a bunch of stuff going on right now (doing a project on the olympics that I can’t tell you about yet, will be featured/interviewed on a website I can’t tell you about yet, being expert blogger on a website I can’t tell you about yet, doing a photo shoot involving olympic action tomorrow that I can’t tell you about yet. And so on). But here are a couple of things I can tell you about though, that you already may (or may not) have seen:

A tiny little post just to tip you off about this website and this book. It’s a Swedish photography community called 1x, with people contributing from all over the world. And the quality of the pictures is AMAZING. STUNNING. Photography at its finest.

So if you think about giving someone a photobook for christmas, get this one. I haven’t seen it live yet, but it looks superb.

Okay. Enough with the advertising for now.

The last Monday morning

Two years ago I packed my bags and moved Stockholm. Two years and two months ago, to be precise. That’s also how long I’ve been doing 9 to 5 work here. I started out as a web editor, moved on to graphic design and layout and finally became a photographer. It’s been two great years. I’ve learned tons of new things, lots of knowledge that I can bring with me in my career. And I’ve met some really nice people.

Now it’s time for a Stockholm break. This is my final week at work. Which feels somewhat sad, but most of all right. I’m ready for the next step, ready to move on.

To make sure I’m not missed at work, I’ve had a few courses for my colleagues. Here’s a picture of Henrik at our little photography and Photoshop day.

Oh yeah, and it’s my birthday today. Happy birthday me!
