One of the reasons Vancouver is so awesome is the city’s cultural mix. And as in many other cities, the Chinese have their own little town. Chinatown in Vancouver is Canada’s biggest and a very cool place for photos. Which is why Cole and I go there with clients every once in a while.

Today we had a shoot in the Chinese Garden, a rad little garden with birds on the roof. Angry birds too.

And tomorrow we’ll be taking photos at a wedding on Grouse Mountain. Have I mentioned this job is awesome?

I’ve learned that Vancouver isn’t that big, area wise that is. But being new in a city is always a bit confusing at first. So the mission of the first couple of weeks here is to get to know the city. And that means walking around. And while doing that, I might as well take a bunch of pictures and show you what it looks like. So here goes:

Chinatown:

Gastown:

Waterfront station:

My sister and her family live is Shanghai. So it’s kinda funny that we have Shanghai alley just around the corner where we live. Cole is documenting as well. He’s my guide around here, very convenient.

More Gastown:

And finally another one of those many high buildings – Woodward building, Gastown:
