I think I’ve blogged that ad quote from Apple before. It’s my favourite one.

Not because I’m a rebel. I’m not. Nor am I much of a trouble-maker. But I love and admire the ones who are. The ones who dare challenge the world and it’s rules. The ones who move it forward.

I watched Barcelona beat Milan last night in the group stage of the Champions League. A solid 90 minutes of football.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as you know, plays for AC Milan, and anyone who knows me also know that I’m a fan of his. And, while there are a few reasons to why that is, the main one is because he’s one of them. One of the misfits. The rebels. Not fond of rules, and without any respect for the status-quo.

There have been a few of them in football over the last decades (Maradona and Cantona are two others that come to mind). Big egos who speak their mind, on and off the pitch. Who make their own rules.

Glorify them, vilify them, but the one thing you can’t do is ignore them.

I’m obviously one of those who love them. And while I get that many dislike them – they are trouble-makers after all – I still can’t fully wrap my head around it.

I mean, what would the world be without them…

Speaking of which.

I just finished Zlatan’s biography. And to all of you who like the rebels, the egos, the misfits – call them what you will – read it. It’s honest and bold.

To the ones who don’t, you might as well skip it. Because it’s honest. And bold.
