Time off (sort of)

Iceland wedding, Sweden Wedding, Sikh wedding, Asian Wedding, Mexico wedding, Vancouver wedding, West Vancouver wedding, Whistler wedding, another Iceland wedding, another downtown Vancouver wedding, Cache Creek Engagement sessi…Ehm, I mean Document You session, and so on, and so on.

We’ve done some 40-ish weddings this year, including a bunch that we haven’t blogged yet.

Another year in (or based out of, anyway) Vancouver is done, and I’d be lying if I said Cole and I weren’t happy with it. We really were. Are. 2011 exceeded our goals and expectations in terms of how much work we’ve done, and especially the amount of awesome work we’ve had the opportunity of doing. The awesome people we’ve met and worked with.

I’m back ‘home’ now. Home, as in visiting family and friends in Finland. Will be spending some time here, and hopefully some in Stockholm, before going back to Vancouver mid January next year. This will be the longest I’ve been home in years. The lengthy stay is sort of forced though, as I’m having surgery this Monday. But a two month Christmas holiday sounds good, so that’s what I’m considering it to be (even if I’ll most likely be spending most days with Nordica stuff anyway).

Finland is pretty cold. Or, considering it’s November 17th, it’s actually pretty warm, I guess. For Finland, that is. But it’s still way colder than Vancouver. No snow yet either, but I have no doubts it’ll come. It always does.

Pretty much just editing and chilling out right now. A couple more weddings to finish, before the year is officially over.

We’re starting up again with an Edmonton wedding mid January next year. I haven’t been to Edmonton yet, so that should be fun. And cold, I hear.

But that’s getting ahead of myself. Time to enjoy this time at home first. Without a DSLR camera, btw. First time in years that I haven’t had one with me. I’ve got the Fuji X100 though, so I’ll be fine.

Alright, time to get started on the editing again.

Good (jet lagged) night, y’all.
