Hockey Night in Canada is a big thing over here. A weekly big thing. But with the Olympics going on, it’s Hockey Night in Canada every night. And it’s awesome. I’m not as hardcore hockey fan as many others here, but it’s impossible not to enjoy the big parties that the hockey games are over here. It’s nuts.
I had the chance to see Team USA beat Team Norway together with a good friend the yesterday. GM Place – during the Olympics called Canada Hockey Place -is an awesome arena and we had a blast cheering for the Norwegian hockey team. Too bad they got their butts kicked by the Americans though.
Afterwards we continued to meet up with other people at a thing called a ‘tweetup’. It’s where people who know each other from Twitter meet up in person. There were quite a few Tweeters there and we had a blast watching Team Canada beating the Swiss team. The Canadian crowd was quite nervous though, but eventually ended up being satisfied with the game. Thanks to a certain Sid the Kid.
Vancouver is so very Awesome right now. Crazy Awesome.
