My very first post!

This is great. Starting from scrath with a complete new layout and a much more flexible blog (than my previous one).

What I did before, on my ‘old’ blog was that I posted one (or several) pictures every single day. For about one and a half years. That became somewhat exhausting. But that’s not really why I want to do it different now. Mainly it’s because I want to do something else with my blog. Posting one picture a day has been great for developing my photography skills, but I feel like I’ve reached a point where it’s just not doing it for me anymore. I’m not saying I’ve learned enough about photography, not even close. Not in a million years close. But I need to refresh my blog to keep the blogging what it should be – fun!

This new blog will feature both my personal and professional work. Hopefully there’ll be a lot of both. I won’t be posting one picture a day anymore, but instead I’ll post whenever I have something to show you. Maybe it’ll be 3 posts a day, or 3 posts a week. Time will tell. And yeah, I write in English now (duh!). It’s not my first language, but I hope it’ll be okay. I’ll tell you all more about the reason for this later.

Glad you (who ever you are) are here and I encourage you to write as many comments as you like. Whether it’s in Swedish, English or Swahili (although I might not be responding in Swahili. Or in any other language that I don’t speak for that matter). I’d be really happy to hear your thoughts on this new layout of mine? Good, bad?

And since this is a photoblog, what would a post be whitout a picture?

My very first post! jonas fotokurs juli 2009

A picture from a photography and camera education day that I had with my brother Jonas and his new (and my old) camera the other day. Can you see the story in this pic? The little guy on the camera is running away, daddy runs after him and Jonas has a satisfied smile on his face (because of the good moment he captured with his camera, or because he’s not the father having to chase the baby?).

Happy thursday!

Jakob - So this is where you are free to go nuts with comments. :-)

Cole - Holy hell does this ever look great. The other one was solid, but you’ve really hit a home run with this layout! Fantastic!!!!!!!

Noras paraply - Congratulations, it looks really good. Clean, stylish and large photos. What more could one wish for? Looking forward to follow you here.

Jakob - Thanks Cole and Noras paraply, glad you like it!
I’m really looking forward to blogging on this new platform. However, there’s still a lot to do before it’s done (actually a website never is ‘done’, but you know what I mean). :-)

Cole - By the way – Du talar mycket bra engelska. Mycket bättre än min svenska! Det är riktigt roligt att läsa dig i engelska nu!

Jakob - Tack Cole. Jag har tränat lite längre på engelska än du har på svenska :-)

It’s official! | Wedding photographer – Jakob Granqvist – Bröllopsfotograf – Stockholm - [...] Remember how I wrote I’d tell you more about why I’m writing in English nowadays? I will do that in detail very soon. For now I’ll just leave you with this awesome song by Milow. The lyrics go something like this: [...]
