Sitting in my go-to Starbucks editing a wedding and putting together a blog post. For the first time in a long time, I feel like things are under control. There are bunch of albums waiting to be designed, and we have a couple more weddings to shoot this year. But that’s no problem, there’s time. I even asked the boss (i.e. me) if I could sleep in a bit this morning, and he was totally fine with it.
It’s been a pretty hectic year with a lot of early mornings and late nights. Which is great, I’m super happy with what we’ve done this far in 2011, but it feels nice that things are winding down a bit and that we’ll have time to think things through a bit too. And, you know, actually have time for something else too. Like having a life, and stuff like that.
We’ve got quite a few weddings booked for next year already. Way, way more than we had this time last year. And as bookings should really pick up around January, 2012 is looking solid. Hopefully we’ll be able to do some travelling too next year.
So, things are moving along quite nicely.
Today, it’s a warm, sunny fall day in Vancouver. Just like yesterday was. Vibrant colours everywhere, probably around 14-15 degrees, and rain nowhere to be seen. Like fall should be. But I’m sure the rain will come eventually. Hopefully it won’t pick up until I’m outta here though.
Oh, well. We’ll see. Time to head home and get some lunch. Starbucks’ lunches are pretty weak.
