One thing that we’ve been bouncing back and forth for quite a while is our prices. We’ve felt that they’ve been too complicated. So we decided to do something about it. Some pretty major changes. Changes that we believe will make it better both for us and for our clients.

Instead of offering packages where we tell clients what to buy, we’re approaching it the other way around. We have one starting price and you can decide if and what add-ons you’d like to have. You choose, not us. Simpler for us, simpler for you - a win-win.

And since we no longer offer different packages, we don’t offer different time coverages either. Meaning we’re not counting hours anymore. If you want us to cover 6 hours of your wedding, that’s fine. If you want us to cover the whole day, from 8pm to midnight e.g., that’s fine. We’ll be there for as long as you want us to. And as usual, you’re getting two photographers to make sure that every moment of the wedding day is captured.

If you follow our sites then you likely know that we work together on photography projects. However, being ‘separate entities’ with two different sites may be confusing, so we put our heads together and created Nordica.

Basically, the site will be the red line through our work (that’s a Swedish metaphor – we’re not going to start crossing lines through our stuff). So, if you book us, you’re booking Nordica.

Cole and I will both be keeping our own sites though, so nothing really changes. We’ll have the Nordica site as a portfolio of sorts for our upcoming work, and we’ll have a combined blog there too. For example, on this Friday’s Whistler Film Festival we’re doing live blogging, and the Nordica site will be where we put everything so viewers aren’t bouncing around between sites.

We needed a couple of pictures for the bio section too, so we took a few during a five minute whirl-wind tour through a couple allies.

While in Vancouver I am working in cooperation with Allan Cole Roberts. (Check out his website here and his portfolio here.) Being two photographers at photo shoots is great. It opens up a lot of opportunities, compared to working alone. Like candid shots and photographing from different angles for example.

Cole is a great guy whom I’ve known for a few years now. He’s Canadian and knows Vancouver inside out. Which is ideal for me being new to the city. And it’s way more fun to actually work together with someone.

So whenever you book a shoot – whether a portrait session, a wedding or a product shoot – you’re getting two photographers to ensure the absolute top quality results.

I made this one for the Gustavsson family after our photo session a couple of months back and I’m really satisfied with how it turned out.

They’ve spent the last two years in one of China’s and the world’s most spectacular cities – the 20 million people metropolis Shanghai. And they’re leaving for another year in a couple of weeks.

That’s a short introduction to my favourite sister and her lovely family, the Svartsjös.

A couple days back we decided to try the impossible mission of getting mischievous little Edgar to stay still for a family portrait session outside of their home in Finland. It went quite well actually, even though Edgar was much more interested in pressing all the buttons on my camera than posing for the portraits.

So here they are, a 1991 version and a 2009 version. Jeez, it’s been almost 20 years. And we still look just the same. ;-)

As Marvin graduated from high-school him and his faily wanted to get some graduation and family portraits. We had perfect luck with the weather (it rained both the day before and the day after) and got a beautiful evening light as we shot their photos on Lilla Essingen in Stockholm.

Marvin is the perfect model by the way. He looks great on every single photograph from this session. And there were several hundreds of them. I’d like to have that talent too.
